Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter was an American actor who was famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards including an Oscar. Early on her acclaimed actress started performing on stage in a number of Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. As a child, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th grade show. The fifth grade was the year that following a bout of mumps, she lost hearing in the left ear. However, she did not allow that to stop her. While in college, she took classes in theatre as well as later moving from Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her dream. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to an unplanned meeting with Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. Following her move from Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered an acting role as a support for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. Holly Hunter has been in a number of films, TV series and movies over the course of a 30-year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and the Women in Film Lucy Award.
